Chinese President Xi Jinping has told North Korean leader Kim Jong-un that the two countries should step up communication amid heightened tensions on the Korean peninsula.
“The international and regional situations are now changing seriously and in a complicated way,” Xi told Kim, according to the Korean Central News Agency.
“I am willing to strengthen strategic communication with Comrade General Secretary, jointly lead the direction of development of China-DPRK relations, and promote friendly cooperation between the two sides to a higher level,” the message said

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gave field guidance at major weapons factories including production lines of engines for strategic cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles.
Kim also inspected factories producing shells for super large-caliber multiple rocket launchers and transporter-erector-launchers, which are normally used to fire ballistic missiles.
He gave instructions for increasing production capacities at the factories as an important part of bolstering the country's defense capabilities.

Kim said the military should make “full preparations for war” while blaming the “aggravators of the situation disturbing peace and stability on the Korean peninsula.”
The rhetoric about attack plans comes after the DPRK defense chief warned last month that North Korea “could” carry out a preemptive nuclear strike against the US if Washington sends nuclear assets to South Korea again, but explained this depends on whether Pyongyang decides an incoming attack is imminent.

Two minor earthquakes recently struck near North Korea's nuclear test site, adding to a series of natural tremors in the Kilju region over recent months. The earthquakes, measuring magnitudes 2.7 and 2.3, occurred without causing any reported damage.
Kilju, located in North Hamgyong Province, is home to the Punggye-ri nuclear test site, where North Korea has conducted all of its nuclear tests, and has experienced eight natural earthquakes in 2022 alone.

South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol said on Monday trilateral cooperation with the United States and Japan will grow stronger if North Korea's threats increase.
He made the remark at a Cabinet meeting days after he took part in talks with the leaders of the Untied States and Japan where they agreed to deepen military and economic cooperation.
The three-way partnership would develop into a strong framework to promote regional peace along with the AUKUS pact between the US, Britain and Australia, and the Quad grouping of the US, Japan, India and Australia, Yoon said.

Kim and Lavrov discussed ways to ramp up cooperation to actively respond to regional and global issues based on "solid political and strategic trust relations," and Lavrov conveyed Putin's greetings to Kim.
Kim pledged to "work out a stable, forward-looking, far-reaching plan for the DPRK-Russia relations in the new era by faithfully implementing the agreements ... and push forward with the cause of building a powerful state," state media said.

Seemingly the attack was carried out with 57mm S-5 pattern rockets.
Judging by the fuze; #NorthKorea (#DPRK)-made 🇰🇵 R-57 rockets with F-57 fuzes might have been used.
Unfortunately, there is no significant reference data available for most North Korean-made rockets...
