➊. Micro Computer

▬በቀላሉ አንድ ሰው በአንድ ጊዜ በተመሳሳይ ሰዓት ሊጠቀምበት ይችላል!

There are 3 types of Micro Computer
A. Desk top:- Designed to fit at a physical desk.
▬ በወንበር አስቀምጠን እንደ ምንጠቀምበት ተደርጎ የተዘጋጀ ነው!

B. Laptop: Designed to fit at lap.
▬ በታፋችን እስቀምጠን እንደ ምንጠቀምበት ተደርጎ የተዘጋጀ ነው!
✔️It is portable.
▬ ከራሳችን ጋር ይዘነው ከቦታ ወደ ቦታ ማንቀሳቀስ እንችላለን!

C. Palmtop:- It is designed to fit at palm.
▬ በእጃችን መዳፍ ይዘን እንድንጠቀምበት ተደርጎ የተዘጋጀ ነው! ለምሳሌ:- ስልክ፣ ታብሌት.....
✔️ It is more portable than Laptop.
▬ ከLaptop top በተሻለ መልኩ በጣም በቀላሉ በኪሳችን ይዘነው መንከሳቀስ እንችላለን!

➋. Mini Computer
↪️ It high expensive than micro computer.
▬ ከ Micro Computer የበለጠ ውድ ነው!
↪️ High in size than Micro Computer.
▬ ከ Micro Computer በ መጠን ይበልጣል!
↪️ High in work than micro computer.
▬ ውስብስብ ስራዎችንም በመስራቱ ረገድ ከ Micro Computer ይበልጣል!

➌. Main Fram Computer
↪️ It is less in size than supper Computer.
▬ ከ Supper ኮምፒውተር ውስብስብ ስራዎችን በመስራትና በመጠንም ያንሳል!
↪️ It is less expensive than supper Computer.
▬ ከ Supper Computer በዋጋ ያንሳል!

➍. Super Computer
↪️ It is large in size.
▬ በመጠን ትልቅ ነው (ከሁሉም የኮምፒውተር አይነቶች ይበልጣል)!
↪️ It perform highly complex and time consuming opration.
▬ ስራዎችን የምያከናውንበት መንገድ ስራዎቹ በጣም ውስብስብና ከባድ ከመሆናቸው የተነሳ በቀላሉ ማንም ሊያንቀሳቅሳቸው አይችልም፤ ጊዜም በጣም ይፈጃል!
↪️ It is too expensive
▬ ከሁሉም የኮምፒውተር አይነቶች የበለጠ(እንደውም ከሌሎቹ ሊነፃፃር በማይችል መልኩ) ውድ ነው!
↪️ It used to study research.
▬ ለከባባድ እና ውስብስብ ለሆኑ ጥናቶች ይጠቅማል!

ለምሳሌ ስለ ኮቪድ 19, ኮቪድ 20, Alpha, Beta, ዴልታ ...... የሚባሉትን አይነት ቫይረሶች ስለነሱ ለማጥናት፤ ይህን(Supper Computer) ይጠቀማሉ!

Lesson 1: Types Of Computer Based On Purpose

Based on the purpose, digital computers are classified into two types:

▬ ኮምፕዩተር በአላማ፣ በዕቅድ ወይም በሚሰጡት አገልጎሎቶች በሁለት ይካፈላል!

እነሱም:-

↪️ General Purpose Computer

↪️ Special Purpose Computer

➊. General Purpose Computer 

✔️ Theses computer can store different programs and can thus be used in countless application. A General Purpose Computer  can perform any kind of jobs with equal efficiency simply by changing the application program stored in main memory.

▬ ይህ የኮምፒውተር አላማ ኮምፕዩተራችን ጥቅል ስራዎችን ሲሰራልን ነው። ይህንም አፕሊኬሽኖችን በትንሹ የኮምፒውተር እውቀት ያለው ሰው ወይም ያለ ምንም እገዛ ራሱ በመለማመድ የሚለምዳቸው የስራ አይነቶችን እንድንሰራ የሚያስችለን ነው!

▬ አፕልኬሽኖችንም በቀላሉ በተለያዩ ፋይሎችን የመያዝ አቅማቸው አናሳ በወሆነ ፍላሾች፣ CD or DVD ማስቀመጥ፤ እንዲሁም መልሰን በኮምፒውተራችን በቀላሉ መጫን እንችላለን!

ለምሳሌ:-
Microsoft office Word
Microsoft Office Publisher
Microsoft Office Excel
Microsoft Office PowerPoint
Vision and የመሳሰሉትን መጥቀስ ይቻላል!

➋. Special Purpose Computer 

✔️ A Special Purpose Computer is the one that is designed to perform only one special task. The program or instructions set is permanently stored in such a machine. It does its single task very quickly and it cannot be used for any other purpose.
These computers are often used to perform specific function such as controlling a manufacturing process or directing communications.

Special purpose computer is a computer that is designed to perform a specific task. They permanently store the instructions. So they can work efficiently. Such computers find application in process control and instrumentation. Most of these computers have a lot of firmware and may use specialized processors.
▬ ይህ የአላማ ወይም የአገልግሎት አይነት ደግሞ ለየት ያሉና ማንም ሰው መጥቶ መጠቀም የማይችላቸው ስራዎች ለመስራት ሲያስችለን ነው!

➦ይህም ማለት እነዚህን ስራዎች በአፕሊኬሽኖች አማካኝነት መስራት ብንፈልግ፤ ስለ አፕልኬሽኑ ስልጠና መውሰድ፣ ትምህርት መማር እና በምናከናውነው የስራ ዘርፍ ለየት ያለ ብቃት ወይም ክህሎት(ጥበብ) ሊኖረን ይገባል ማለት ነው!

Video Editing Applications
Radiological Application (ሆስፒታል ላይ ራጅ የሚያነብ አፕሊኬሽን)

Lesson: 2 Generations of Computer. 💻💻

How many generations of computers are there?

Computer generations are based on when major technological changes in computers occurred, like the use of vacuum tubes, transistors, and the microprocessor. As of 2020, there are five generations of the computer.
Review each of the generations below for more information and examples of computers and technology that fall into each generation.

➊. First generation (1940 - 1956)


The first generation of computers used vacuum tubes as a major piece of technology. Vacuum tubes were widely used in computers from 1940 through 1956. Vacuum tubes were larger components and resulted in first-generation computers being quite large in size, taking up a lot of space in a room. Some of the first-generation computers took up an entire room.
The ENIAC is a great example of a first-generation computer. It consisted of nearly 20,000 vacuum tubes, 10,000 capacitors, and 70,000 resistors. It weighed over 30 tons and took up a lot of space, requiring a large room to house it. Other examples of first-generation computers include the EDSAC, IBM 701, and Manchester Mark 1.

➋. Second generation (1956 - 1963)


The second generation of computers saw the use of transistors instead of vacuum tubes. Transistors were widely used in computers from 1956 to 1963. Transistors were smaller than vacuum tubes and allowed computers to be smaller in size, faster in speed, and cheaper to build.
The first computer to use transistors was the TX-0 and was introduced in 1956. Other computers that used transistors include the IBM 7070, Philco Transac S-1000, and RCA 501.

➌. Third generation (1964 - 1971)


The third generation of computers introduced the use of IC (integrated circuits) in computers. Using IC's in computers helped reduce the size of computers even more than second-generation computers, and also made them faster.
Nearly all computers since the mid to late 1960s have utilized IC's. While the third generation is considered by many people to have spanned from 1964 to 1971, IC's are still used in computers today. Over 45 years later, today's computers have deep roots going back to the third generation.

➍. Fourth generation (1972 - 2010)


The fourth generation of computers took advantage of the invention of the microprocessor, more commonly known as a CPU. Microprocessors, with integrated circuits, helped make it possible for computers to fit easily on a desk and for the introduction of the laptop.
Some of the earliest computers to use a microprocessor include the Altair 8800, IBM 5100, and Micral. Today's computers still use a microprocessor, despite the fourth generation being considered to have ended in 2010.

➎. Fifth generation (2010 to present)


The fifth generation of computers is beginning to use AI (artificial intelligence), an exciting technology with many potential applications around the world. Leaps have been made in AI technology and computers, but there is still room for much improvement.
One of the more well-known examples of AI in computers is IBM's Watson, which was featured on the TV show Jeopardy as a contestant. Other better-known examples include Apple's Siri on the iPhone and Microsoft's Cortana on Windows 8 and Windows 10 computers. The Google search engine also utilizes AI to process user searches.

❻. Sixth generation (future generations)

As of 2021, most still consider us to be in the fifth generation as AI continues to be developed. One possible contender for a future sixth generation is the quantum computer. However, until quantum computing becomes more developed and widely used, it's still only a promising technology.

▬ ከፍተኛ ሃይል ያለው ሙቀት ያመነጭ ነበር!
✔️ It used vacuum tube as Processor.
▬ እንደ ኮምፒውተር አንጎል የሚጠቀመው Vacuum tubes'ን ነበር!
✔️ It was expensive. የግዢ ዋጋው ውድ ነበር!
✔️ It used Punched Card as input.
▬መረጃዎችን ወደ ውስጥ ለማስገባት የሚጠቀመው Puched Card የተሰኘ Device ነበር!

◉ Second generation (1956 - 1963)
✔️ It used Transistor instead of Vacuum Tubes. በVacuum Tubes ቦታ Transistor ይጠቀም ነበር!
✔️ 25% minimize as 1st Generation in use of power and realized heat.
▬ የሚፈጀው የኤሌክትሪክ ፌጆታና የሚያመነጨው የሙቀት ሃይል ከ1st Generation በ25% ያነሰ ነበር!

◉ Third generation (1964 - 1971)
✔️ It used Integrated Circuit (IC) instead of Transistor.
▬ በTransistor ቦታ Integrated Circuit (IC) ይጠቀም ነበር!
✔️ It used Keyboard instead of Punched Card.
▬ በPuched Card ቦታ Keyboard ይጠቀም ነበር(ለመፃፊያነትና መረጃን ወደ ኮምፒውተር ለማስገባት)!

◉ Fourth generation (1972 - 2010)
✔️ It is less in size. በመጠን ትንሽ ነው!
✔️ It is Cheap. ግዢው ርካሽ ነው!
✔️ It Used Micro Processor Instead of Integrated Circuit (IC).
▬ በIC ቦታ Micro Processor ይጠቀም ነበር!
✔️ It is fast in Speed. ስራዎችን አቀላጥፎ ይሰራል(ፈጣን ነው)!

◉ Fifth generation (2010 to present)
✔️ It used Artificial Intelligence Instead of Micro Processor.
▬ በ Micro Processor ቦታ Artificial Intelligence ይጠቀማል!

Example: Sofia Robot
▬ አርተፊሻል የሆነ እንደ ሰው እምሮ እንዲያስብ ተደርጎ ነው የተሰራው!
ምሳሌ:- ሶፊያ ሮቦት!

◉ Sixth generation (future generations)

✔️ 5th Generation'ን በጣም በድንቅ ሁኔታ አሻሽለን፣ ሚጨመሩ ነገሮችን ጨምረን እንሰራዋለን ብለዋል(ገና ለወደፊት) 💻💻📱📱
