#POSTDOCTORAL FELLOW POSITION School of #Civil and #Environmental #Engineering, #Georgia_Institute_of_Technology. We have an immediate opening for a postdoctoral fellow. The position’s primary area of research will focus on origami engineering with emphasis on #metamaterials, #adaptive_structures, #optimization, and #additive_manufacturing. Expertise is particularly sought in rapid prototyping, #multiphysics modeling, and #nonlinear #multiscale #finite_element_analysis and #design. The initial appointment is for one year with potential to extend, subject to the availability of funds. The candidate will have a lot of intellectual freedom and is expected to be a self-motivated, independent thinker, and possess a proven record of high-quality publications.

هر چند آئین نامه های داخلی ترجمه ناقصی از استانداردهای اروپایی و آمریکایی است، با اینحال مطالعه این نوع آئین نامه ها برای درک بهتر بعضی مطالب یا آشنایی با اصطلاحات روزمره طراحی و تحلیل شاید مفید باشد.
نکته: در هنگام طراحی و تحلیل حتما استانداردهای اصلی را کنار دست داشته باشید و فقط به آئین نامه های ایران اکتفا نکنید.

در ایران پر هست از سازه های باستانی. برای مرمت این سازه ها که اکثرا آجری و سنگی هستن، قبل از هرکاری، هر تغییری و هر نظری باید به سراغ شبیه سازی رفت. خسارت این آثار جبران ناپذیر است. باید با دقت بسیار بالا مرمت و تعمیر کرد. شبیه سازی بهترین ابزار برای این کار است.
