The Building and Construction Authority (βBCAβ) would like to alert members of the public to a scam, involving BCA purportedly permitting certain people certified by the BCA to open an account to participate in an investment scheme.
How the scam works:
β’ An individual claims to work in BCA, and is able to allow certain people, through BCAβs CEO, to participate in an investment.
β’ The individual provides a certificate, purportedly certifying a person granted permission to open an account under a scheme guaranteed by the BCA.
β’ The certificate bears logos of multiple ministries and public agencies, including the logos of the Ministry of National Development and the Ministry of Trade & Industry.
BCA has reported the matter to the police. BCA would like to remind members of the public that BCA does not administer any investment schemes or provide any investment opportunities.
We urge members of the public to exercise caution and vigilance. If you encounter any suspicious activity or have been approached by individuals making false claims about BCA or its officials, please alert BCA via our feedback form and report the incidents to the Police.

BCA and Temasek Polytechnic (TP) jointly organised a Built Environment Innovation Exchange (BEIX) event under the Centre of Innovation Built Environment β Advanced Materials (COIBE-AM), which showcased the research and innovation projects that TP had embarked on with their SME partners. The projects involved the use of non-structural facilities incorporating recycled urban wastes and 3D printed concrete using recycled concrete fine aggregates.
Through this event, TP hopes to attract more BE stakeholders to consider collaborating with COIBE-AM and adopting the solutions to benefit their businesses!
