In Estonia, a pro-russian politician, Ivo Peterson, was sentenced to 14 years in prison for high treason

The court found that Peterson and his associate, Dmitri Roots, assisted the russian federation in its influence activities in Estonia. Roots, who was sentenced to 11 years, informed Peterson of Moscow’s interest in meeting and cooperating with a political party seeking to influence debates in Estonia. This marked the beginning of planning for a meeting that, the court said, “would have opened up the possibility of covertly influencing decisions in the Estonian political landscape.”

The court also found that Peterson participated in russian-organized trips to the occupied Ukrainian territories. While there, he recorded videos for social media aimed at encouraging Western and European audiences to stop supporting Ukraine. Russia covered Peterson’s travel expenses, and he appeared on several pro-russian channels as a candidate for the Estonian parliament. The tour was partly coordinated by russian citizen Andrei Andronov, who was also sentenced to 11 years in prison. All three were fined thousands of euros by the court

🇺🇦 The SBU hit a Russian submarine in Novorossiysk:

▪ For the first time in history, underwater drones "Sub Sea Baby" blew up a Russian submarine of the 636.3 class "Varshavyanka" (NATO classification - Kilo). As a result of the explosion, the submarine suffered critical damage and was effectively put out of action.

▪ On board the submarine were four launchers for "Kalibr" cruise missiles, which the enemy uses to strike at Ukraine's territory.

▪ This was a joint operation of the 13th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU and the Ukrainian Naval Forces.

▪The cost of a "Varshavyanka" class submarine is about 400 million US dollars. Given the imposed international sanctions, the construction of a similar submarine could now cost up to 500 million dollars. This class of submarines is also known as "Black Hole" due to the ability of the hull to absorb sounds and remain undetectable to sonars.
