Ukraine says it has begun using its new homegrown Sapsan ballistic missile, which would be a major upgrade to its ability to strike deep inside Russia without Western usage restrictions.

The missile is linked to the long-developing Hrim-2 program, likely has a range of 280–500 km (possibly up to 1,000 km), and is much harder to intercept than drones or cruise missiles.

There’s no confirmed debris proving combat use yet, and Zelensky may be sowing confusion.

But if true, Sapsan would significantly boost Ukraine’s standoff strike capability beyond older Tochka missiles and limited U.S. ATACMS.

Ukraine has delivered its response to the U.S. proposal for a “peace plan”

According to Axios, National Security Advisor and chief negotiator Rustem Umerov sent Kyiv’s official response to Donald Trump’s advisor Jared Kushner.

The move came after several days of consultations with European allies primarily the UK, France, and Germany.

Both sides are expected to discuss the document later today.
