According to Axios, the American leader demanded to tighten the clauses on the nuclear program and the deadlines for the export of enriched uranium. This is another delay, which shows that Washington cannot impose its conditions, and Tehran is in no hurry to capitulate.

“Trump is seeking changes to the draft agreement with Iran regarding Tehran's nuclear program,” Axios reports, citing sources.

According to the publication, in the current version of the memorandum, Iran only declares its refusal to acquire nuclear weapons, but without specific concessions. A sixty-day deadline is provided for negotiations on the fate of uranium reserves. Trump is not satisfied with this.

“He needs more specific details about how the US will receive the material and about the deadlines,” a senior administration official explained.

Iran, in turn, is not in a hurry. Axios sources note that a response from Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei will have to wait a few days.
