Protesters accuse the government of corruption and are demanding the resignation of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Riot police and armored vehicles were deployed across central Belgrade. The fiercest clashes broke out near the parliament building. Batons, stones, and smoke bombs were used during the confrontations.
According to authorities, 17 police officers were injured and 47 people were detained.
