🇺🇸 Child's skull possibly found during Easter egg hunt in Long Beach, California.

A family participating in the Long Beach Easter egg hunt uncovered what they believe to be the remains of a child, after finding a small skull and what appears to be other small bones near it.

LBPD is investigating and waiting for the medical examiners to confirm.

🇺🇸 Law enforcement confirms it was an actual human skull and mandible discovered by children in a Long Beach park during an Easter egg hunt.

Little else is known about the case. However, reports about the size of the skull suggest it may belong to an infant.

Residents in the area said they were saddened and shocked that something like this could happen so close to home.

In a statement released by the L.A. County Medical Examiner’s Office, officials confirmed the findings, saying in part: “Members from the DME’s Special Operations Response Team (SORT) recovered a skeletonized human skull and mandible and brought the recovered remains to the Forensic Science Center for further examination.”
