WARE, Massachusetts

Ware PD Chief Sean Crevier said that just before 1 p.m. on Friday, a MassCentral train derailed in the area of Knox Avenue.

Emergency crews were on the scene and are working to reset the train cars back onto the tracks. There were no injures as a result of the derailment.

DES MOINES, Iowa

On Thursday, March 26, 2026 at approx 11:22 P.M. CDT, we received a preliminary report of a train derailment near Des Moines, IA which has affected the main track.

BNSF field personnel responded to assess the derailment site. The estimated opening of the main track has not been determined at this time.

LARCHMONT, New York

On Friday, at 8:02pm, the Larchmont FD responded to a report of smoke coming from a manhole in the area of Chatsworth Ave & North Ave.

The dept says that Engine 35 and Tower Ladder 7 were at the scene within 3 minutes of dispatch and confirmed the smoke was coming from a single manhole cover.

Soon after, 2 additional manholes caught fire in the immediate area.

The dept says that during the operation, a manhole cover exploded, causing 2 Larchmont PD officers to be injured. One of the officers was taken to a local hospital.

The Larchmont FD says that the cause of the fire is currently believed to be underground electrical issues, and Con Ed electric crews arrived at the scene.

Authorities say that there will continue to be road closures and temporary power outages in the area due to emergency repairs.
