Several Asian and African nations have begun rationing fuel or adopting strict energy-saving measures due to severe supply shortages and surging prices, driven by disruptions to Middle East shipping lanes as a result of the Iran war.
Some of the key actions being taken include fuel quotas in SRI LANKA, four-day workweeks in the PHILIPPINES and PAKISTAN, and, in some cases, power outages in BANGLADESH.
The situation is showing no let up and is expected to get worse! As was the case with COVID-19 so shall it be with ENERGY! "Avoid unnecessary travel" could soon become the new norm.
