🚨 BREAKING: SHOTS FIRED AT U.S. CONSULATE IN TORONTO

Toronto police have responded to reports that gunshots were fired at the U.S. Consulate in downtown Toronto early this morning.

Officers were called to the scene around 5:30 AM, where investigators reportedly found bullet holes in the glass entrance doors of the building.

A large police presence remains in the area, with forensic units examining the site and streets closed around the consulate while the investigation continues.

Authorities say no injuries have been reported and have not yet released any suspect information.

Police are asking anyone with information to come forward as the situation continues to develop.

BREAKING: A 20-year-old Harris County Texas man is in custody after threatening to "bomb" Highway 290, according to court documents.

Jeremiah Chavez is charged with unlawful possession of explosive components, a third-degree felony.

According to Harris County Precinct 4 Constable Mark Herman's Office, they responded to an address on Bronze Leaf Drive in a Cypress neighborhood just north of US 290 and inside the Grand Parkway on Monday night around 10 p.m.

Authorities said a caller from the location said he was planning to detonate explosive devices and conduct a mass shooting.

When authorities got to the home, they said they found a rifle, a lot of ammunition, and "bomb-making components." Chavez was arrested at the scene.
