NetBlocks reported that after 240 hours of a near-total internet shutdown in Iran, the disruption now ranks among the most severe government-imposed nationwide internet blackouts in the world. It is the second-longest outage recorded in the country since the January protests, meaning Iran has effectively spent nearly one-third of 2026 offline. NetBlocks also said ordinary users inside Iran currently have access to only about 1% of normal internet connectivity.
