BREAKING UPDATE: The earthquake of the Russian Coast has been upgraded to a MAGNITUDE 8.7.
The tsunami watch has been upgraded to a tsunami advisory for the Hawaiian islands.
*IF* a tsunami was generated by this earthquake earliest reported impacts may be around 7:15 PM Hawaii standard time.
Tsunami threat for the West Coast of the United States, including Los Angeles County, is being evaluated following a large earthquake off the coast of Russia.
More details will be provided as they become available.
