Officials have closed the airport as first responders continue emergency operations. Eyewitnesses report hearing a loud bang miles away at the time of the incident. 🇷🇺Witnesses rescue child and mother from sinking car in Makhachkala, Dagestan (Russia). Passersby rescued a young child and his mother after their Volkswagen Polo slipped into the Oktjabr’skoy Revolyutsii Canal. According to local reports and videos shared online, several men acted quickly when they saw the car sinking. They climbed onto a horizontal bar above the water and waited until the current carried the vehicle close enough. One by one, they reached inside through the car window and pulled the child to safety. They then helped the mother out of the vehicle as the car continued to submerge.
Local social media posts name Assadula Magomedov — a student of the Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov school — as one of the rescuers. The identities of the other helpers have not yet been confirmed. Many users in online comments have praised the group and suggested they be formally recognized for their bravery.
The mother and child were brought safely to shore, and reports indicate they escaped without serious injury.

These NOTAMs are rather interesting cover a vast region over the Pacific Ocean. They mention that due to military activity, aircraft may experience GPS jamming at all altitudes.
I’m guessing it’s an effort to mess with drug boats coming up from South America? A Boeing P-8A Poseidon is visible almost daily on ADSB orbiting near the throat of the northern most confines of the NOTAM. Just wild stuff!
