Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson defended the “Black Codes” used to restrict freed slaves in the South as constitutionally admissible precedent.
When the US Principal Deputy Solicitor General Sarah Harris called the laws “obvious outliers” in violation of the Constitution, Justice Brown retorted that they were admissible for their time.
Harris pointed out that the laws were never constitutional and Jackson accused her of not caring about history.

Irish teacher Enoch Burke has been arrested again, he has now spent 560 days in prison for refusing to use "they” pronoun for a male student. He was released only last week.
