CLEARLAKE, California
The city of Clearlake has declared a local emergency in response to a massive ongoing sewage spill that began on Sunday due to a failure in the county-managed wastewater system.
The incident on Robin Lane, which began on Sunday morning, has impacted dozens of homes in and around the city of Clearlake, spilling raw sewage that has flooded the area south of Pond Road, north of Rumsey Road, east of Pamela Lane and west of Robin Lane, and spreading into drainage ditches, waterways, Burns Valley Creek and Clear Lake, officials reported.
Clearlake City Manager Alan Flora told Lake County News that multiple repairs were supposedly completed on Monday, but when he was on-site of the spill’s source in the afternoon, it was still leaking.
The city reported that an estimated 58 properties within the spill’s footprint have been directly impacted.

BURLINGAME, California
An ongoing underground gas leak is keeping roads closed at a busy intersection in Burlingame.
On Tues morning, Broadway remained closed in both directions bw Chula Vista and Carolan Ave, with closures visible to drivers exiting Hwy 101.
According to PG&E, the problems began last week when the utility discovered an underground petroleum leak from a third-party source.
The petroleum leaked into PG&E vaults, prompting crews to shut off power & affecting hundreds of customers.
PG&E initially provided generators to impacted customers & later restored power. Crews were close to reopening the intersection, but as of Mon night, the leak was still active & severe enough to keep the roads closed until further notice.
Officials say crews will test the petroleum to determine where the leak originated, but there is no timeline for when the intersection will reopen or when the situation will be fully resolved.

BANGOR, Maine
A 4 foot wide sinkhole has opened on the SB side of Main St, near its intersection with Railroad St.
A small sinkhole opened Friday night at the same location and the city filled and monitored it, Bangor’s engineering director, Jeff Davis, said.
A second sinkhole opened Monday night, leading to the traffic disruption, he said.
The city has work crews on site trying to determine the cause of the sinkhole. Crews have dug at least 14 feet deep as they investigate, Davis said.
It may be from an old stone sewer line or from an old clay pipe workers found as they are investigating, Davis said.

President Trump told the people of Iran that help is on the way as reports and videos surface claiming thousands have been killed during the protests.
Footage and accounts describe bodies dumped into containers, scattered across the ground, and even packed into a refrigerated 18-wheeler.
Trump has now canceled all scheduled meetings with Iranian officials.
Responsibility is being placed squarely on the Iranian government, with Israel saying it is concerned about “human suffering.”
"This is a FALSE FLAG to get us into a war.
Get the word out that it was Israel who killed these people."

Granada, Spain
A serious crack has appeared in the road on the Rules viaduct and has forced the temporary closure of one lane in the direction of Motril on the A-44 motorway and has brought forward the timetable for major repair works already planned for the structure.
The damage, consisting of an approximately 30 cm wide crack located in one of the expansion joints, was detected at kilometre point 173 of the A-44 (Granada–Costa Tropical direction), roughly 500 metres past the recently opened Acebuches-Ízbor diversion.
The crack is severe enough that a vehicle wheel could easily fit inside it, creating a major hazard for traffic.
The causes that led to the sudden appearance of the crack in the expansion joint have not yet been officially determined, but possible subsidence following the recent heavy rains is what most are speculating about.
