For anyone starting the climb, below is a list of the cost and estimated how long it takes to learn each hard skill.

Red Cross First Aid/CPR ✅ (1 day - $50)
Ham Radio Technician ✅ (45 days - $15)
Ham Radio General ✅ (45 days - $15)
Ham Radio Extra ✅ (90 days - $15)
Hunting License ✅ (2 days for online course, about $160 total including deer tags)
TCCC ✅ (2 days - $550)
EMT 📆 (4 months $2500)
Welding 1 & 2 ✅ (3 month night program - $1400 plus books & gear)
Beekeeping ✅ (1-2 months $150 + bees and equipment)
Forklift 📆 (2 days - need to get a job at Costco so manager can verify safety cert)
Pilot License (5 months - $15,000)
SpaceOps Master’s (2 years - $20k)

Start with low hanging fruit first…in my case I did lowest cost and shortest time to learn first and then highest cost and longer time to complete last.
