If you are in this channel, you are most likely wondering-
How do I get my PPL?

Some of you may have so much fun flying, you’ll want to get even more certifications! But let’s not get ahead of ourselves ;)

In order get a Private Pilot License (PPL), you need:

- to be at least 17 years old
-pass a third-class medical exam
-complete a minimum of 40 flight hours (you will keep a logbook and get an endorsement from your authorized flight instructor)
-pass the FAA Private Pilot Written Exam
-pass the FAA Checkride, which includes an oral exam and a flight test. 

The purpose of these lessons -which we will post once or twice a week-are to help you get ready for the written exam.

We’ll be posting these lessons, in easily digestible, short bursts, so even those with a busy schedule can keep up and achieve their goals! 🔥

Each lesson should take, on average, about 15-20 minutes of your time, followed by a short quiz.

We will also post the occasional video and aviation related content.

Some advice:

Get your medical exam early on. Sometimes people do not get approved (FYI mentioning any history of adhd, anxiety or depression will definitely be a problem, more on that later) and it’s best to get that out of the way before investing significant time and money on flying.

Also, it’s never too early to do your research in finding a flight instructor, or flying club, in your area. It can take time to find someone compatible and available. It will usually be more economical than putting yourself through school.

And, it is advisable to get your 40 flight hours (or more) closer together, in a span of 2-4 weeks. This is because you will retain more of the information learnt. (There are some 14 day flight schools that specialize in this service.)
