Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is a private aerospace and defense company based in Sparks, Nevada. Founded in 1963, it has grown into a major contractor for the U.S. government, with projects ranging from avionics and cybersecurity to spacecraft and advanced defense systems. The company is best known for its Dream Chaser spaceplane, designed to carry cargo and eventually crew to low Earth orbit.

Beyond space systems, SNC develops electronic warfare solutions, tactical mission systems, and next-generation aircraft technology. It operates across multiple divisions and has facilities throughout the United States, supplying critical technology to NASA, the Department of Defense, and international partners.

In 2024, SNC was selected to develop the E-4C Survivable Airborne Operations Center (SAOC), a replacement for the E-4B National Airborne Operations Center (NAOC), a strategic command-and-control military aircraft used as a mobile command post for the National Command Authority in emergency situations.
