Soil liquefaction phenomenon caused by the 7.7 magnitude earthquake in Myanmar. This phenomenon occurs when an earthquake agitates water-saturated sediments, causing them to lose their solidity and behave like a liquid. As the pressure of the water trapped in the ground increases, water and fine sediments emerge to the surface through cracks or fissures, forming these muddy puddles or deposits.
The gray color is due to the mineral composition of the soil, which generally contains quartz particles and water mixed with fine sediments, such as silt and clay, which usually have a grayish hue.

The bees are loving the scratch grain. A couple years back we discovered them trying to share the grain with the chickens, not so great for them. So now we leave grain out for them every nice warm day there is in the spring until the flowers start blooming. We asked another beekeeper what he thought it was they liked but he also didn’t know. At the end of the day this tray of grain will be “dust” free. We put it back in with the other grain for the night and in the morning put fresh grain out for them. I don’t know what is in it they like but I’m not questioning it and I’ll gladly give it.
