I've got 10 acres and I'm currently breeding for rainbow production layers (Ameraucana rooster over BCM, Cream Legbar, Orpingtons, Blue rock, and Starlight Green Egger), as well as pure bred coops for Lavender Ameraucanas, Cream Legbars, Silverrudds, and Black Copper Marans.

Currently have 18 eggs from my rainbow production in Incubator #1, 10 Silverrudds and 12 eggs from my rainbow production in Incubator #2, 24 Rainbow/Heavy Bloom eggs in Incubator #3, and picking up a dozen Lavender Ameraucana eggs from the best breeder in my area later today. We've got the space and the goal over the next 2 years is to breed for specific crosses (like Silverrudds to Cream Legbars for Ice Cream Bars, and BCMs and F1/F2 Olive Eggers to Ameraucanas for Moss Eggers and heavy bloomers.

I kid about the problem part. This has all been planned since before we found our property and built our home.

We do about 250 tops per batch, but I'm converting my grow rooms into breeding rooms.

I always candle them around days 8-10 if I see nothing I remove the egg and consolidate incubators and fill back up. All my eggs are 100% fertile every time

We picked up a chicken coop yesterday. It will be our first and it is a summer coop because it isn't insulated but we will be building a winter coop during the summer. :D
