The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has saved taxpayers $105 billion thus far, according to its own calculations posted on the official DOGE website.

The website, last updated March 2, 2025, now shows $105 billion saved via DOGE efforts. It notes this figure represents “a combination of asset sales, contract/lease cancellations and renegotiations, fraud and improper payment deletion, grant cancellations, interest savings, programmatic changes, regulatory savings, and workforce reductions.”

The website provides a further breakdown, showing that the $105 billion saved thus far has resulted in a savings of $652.17 per taxpayer.

DOGE provides as many receipts as it can, displaying 2,334 canceled contracts in a variety of government agencies, resulting in a savings of $8 billion. These include many DEIA contracts.

Legendary investor Warren Buffett likened tariffs to “an act of war” in a new interview as President Trump doubles down on his embrace of the economic strategy.

In an interview that aired Sunday on CBS News, anchor Norah O’Donnell asked Buffett about the effects tariffs will have on the economy.

“Tariffs are actually, we’ve had a lot of experience with them,” Buffett said in response. “They’re an act of war, to some degree.”

On tariffs’ impact on inflation, Buffett said, “Over time, they are a tax on goods.”

“I mean, the Tooth Fairy doesn’t pay ’em,” he added with a laugh.

The US government is considering selling a sprawling portfolio properties across 47 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico, part of President Donald Trump’s campaign to shrink the federal workforce — and the buildings it occupies.

An inventory of 443 “non-core” assets posted by the General Services Administration Tuesday included many of the prime commercial buildings that house local and regional offices for federal agencies and provide services for taxpayers, Social Security recipients, farmers and workers.

In total, the structures represent almost 80 million rentable square feet (7.4 million square meters) of usable space — 12 times the size of the Pentagon. The GSA estimates that selling them could save more than $430 million in annual operating costs, a key focus for Trump and his efforts to reduce government spending. The president is expected to address a joint session of Congress later Tuesday.
