NEW💥: Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) pledged to introduce legislation to track U.S. dollars designated for Ukraine in its war against Russia, after citing the possibility of corrupt spending under the Biden administration.

“It’s time for a special inspector general dedicated to auditing EVERY PENNY spent on Ukraine,” Hawley, a member of the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee, wrote in a Tuesday post on social platform X.

An hour later the Missouri Republican promised to act on his proposal.

“I will again introduce on the floor of the Senate legislation to create a watchdog whose *sole responsibility* is auditing every dollar spent on Ukraine – and reporting back to the American people,” he wrote.

In previous remarks, Hawley suggested that a probe of the federal government’s financial support of the Eastern European nation could uncover frivolous spending.

The United States on Wednesday designated Tren de Aragua, the Sinaloa cartel and other drug cartels as global terrorist organizations, according to a Federal Register notice.

The U.S. State Department notice said the groups pose a risk to U.S. national security, foreign policy and economic interests.

President Donald Trump, a Republican, issued an executive order after taking office on January 20 that called on officials to evaluate whether any criminal cartels or transnational gangs should be designated at terror groups. During Trump's 2017-2021 presidency, he considered such designations but ultimately shelved the plans.

Mike Weissman – if a document memorializing the decedent's gender identity is presented, the individual completing the death certificate must record the decedent’s sex based on that identity. If this is thwarted in any way, the penalty is a class 2 misdemeanor, which in Colorado is punishable by up to 120 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $750.
