A security guard at the Dream nightclub in Chattanooga, Tennessee, quickly stopped a potential mass shooting. The guard acted when a 24-year-old gunman began shooting at people outside the club. The guard shot the attacker before he could kill anyone. Security footage shows the suspect had planned the attack, parking his car nearby before the incident. The head of security, Joe Reed, praised the guard’s swift response in saving lives. The suspect was injured but not seriously.
