Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chair of the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, is investigating the United States Navy Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Program (TOPGUN) after pilots and instructors reportedly underwent physical and mental harm.

Three F-18 Super Hornet pilots died by suicide following symptoms of traumatic brain injuries (TBI) that were possibly connected to their time as naval aviators, according to Comer.

The Committee is investigating an “internal” Navy project aimed at evaluating these issues, code-named Project Odin’s Eye.

“Project Odin’s Eye, reportedly initiated without formal approval from Navy Medical and Air Commands, raises additional questions about the Navy’s knowledge of potential issues and whether it is acting to mitigate these issues in a comprehensive and effective manner,” Comer shared in a statement.

“While elite and highly trained naval aviators and flight officers understand the high-stress, high-stakes missions they will undergo to safeguard American national security, it is imperative to ensure the warfighter has full and accurate information about health risks and the tools, both mental and physical, to safeguard their health,” Comer stated in the letter.

NOT BLUFFING😆: Prime Minister Justin Trudeau of Canada on Friday made his first comments in response to President Trump’s repeated statements that he wants to annex Canada and make it the 51st state.

Mr. Trudeau made clear that he did not regard Mr. Trump’s statements as having been in made in jest and believes annexation is something Canada needs to treat as a serious threat.

And he believes he knows why Mr. Trump covets Canada.

“I suggest that not only does the Trump administration know how many critical minerals we have, but that may be even why they keep talking about absorbing us and making us the 51st state,” Mr. Trudeau told a gathering of company executives and business leaders in Toronto, according to people in the room who listened to his comments.

“They’re very aware of our resources,” Mr. Trudeau added, “of what we have, and they very much want to be able to benefit from those.”

And he continued: “But Mr. Trump has it in mind that one of the easiest ways of doing that is absorbing our country. And it is a real thing.”

The head of the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, says the school is "taking steps to close all agency Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) offices and end all DEIA-related contracts in accordance with President Trump’s executive orders," according to an email obtained by Fox News.

NEWSOM BUSTED🤥: California governor Gavin Newsom (D.) defended his administration’s decision to disband a wildfire team in early 2024 by denigrating the unit as "inadequately trained." Military records obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show that Newsom’s administration gave the unit an award for "outstanding performance" that cited its exemplary "wildland firefighting training."

The Newsom administration shut down Team Blaze, a volunteer wildfire unit under Newsom’s command, in January 2024. The move rendered the California National Guard incapable of sending a complete firefighting detachment to fight the Los Angeles fires until 10 days after the flames broke out, the Free Beacon reported. In response to that report, Newsom’s press office on Jan. 24 disparaged the former firefighters of Team Blaze, calling the disbanded unit a "small, inadequately trained volunteer reserve component" that wasn’t fit to fight wildfires in California.
