A group of youngsters who were participating in a lion dance performance in conjunction with Chinese New Year fell into a large hole when the sidewalk of a shop on Jalan Bunga, Sabah, suddenly collapsed under them.
The incident took place at 11am on Wed (Feb 5), causing 3 of the lion dancers to fall into a 1-metre-deep hole.
The unexpected collapse of the sidewalk shocked the public who were watching the group’s lion dance performance.
Thankfully, the performers were quickly rescued by their fellow lion dancers.

A train came off the tracks Thursday morning in Grand Forks. This happened at the intersection of Demers & 42nd St.
Grand Forks Police say officers are on scene to help reroute traffic.
They are asking the public to avoid the area. If you are driving through this area, expect delays.
The train is upright.

RIDLEY PARK, Pennsylvania
A SEPTA train went up in flames on Thursday night in Delaware Co. It happened around 6 p.m. near the Crum Lynne Station in Ridley Park.
The 6 car train was carrying roughly 350 people from Philadelphia to Wilmington when it caught fire.
According to SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch, as the train was being evacuated it was learned the first car was catching fire.
"Very quick action by our crews that that helped allow this to be a safe outcome. We don't we don't know where this started just that it was in the area underneath the train and then obviously engulfed the train in flames."
Service to Wilmington has been halted. Amtrak service along the Northeast Corridor is also being impacted.

Around 2 a.m. there was a huge amount of water coming up out of the ground. When the water finally cleared, a large sinkhole was left behind on Joppa Rd., near the intersection with Walther Blvd. in Parkville.

An underground electric fire in Bloomfield with minor explosions caused a temporary evacuation of some nearby buildings dt elevated levels of carbon monoxide on Thurs morning.
The Bloomfield FD released the following details about the incident:
“This morning, the Bloomfield FD operated at an underground electric vault fire, with multiple minor explosions in the vault in front of 224 Broad St. PSE&G electric responded to the scene to determine the cause and make necessary repairs. As per PSE&G, there are no safety concerns for anyone in the area.
All buildings were investigated, and a few buildings had elevated levels of CO and were briefly evacuated. These buildings had been ventilated and CO levels subsided to allow the return of occupants.”

A manhole fire and increased carbon monoxide levels today led to several people being forced from their homes.
Fire officials responded to the call around 8:30 a.m. on 81st Road between 88th Street and Woodhaven Boulevard. Heavy smoke billowed from the manhole fire.
Crews quickly directed 12 residents in 6 nearby homes to evacuate dt elevated levels of carbon monoxide in the area.
“We had readings as high as 400 parts per million of carbon monoxide initially. Levels have subsequently dropped due to the ventilation of the units.”
Con Edison said its crews are on scene working to restore a section of underground cable that was damaged due to salt and snow melt.
