Governor Gavin Newsom is heading to the White House on Wednesday to ask President Donald Trump for federal money to address California’s wildfires, after state legislators passed $50 million to fund anti-Trump measures.

Newsom himself agreed to the $50 million deal in mid-January, with fires still burning in the Los Angeles area, after complaining that Trump wanted to “politicize” the fires by talking about the state’s failed water policies and forestry.

The spending came out of a special legislative session called by Newsom himself. The State Assembly passed the anti-Trump funding right away, and while the State Senate balked at first, it als passed the funding earlier this week.

Newsom has yet to sign the bills into law. At a town hall meeting last month, Trump pledged to appoint a “special master” to oversee federal spending on the wildfires to ensure state and local officials did not waste the money.

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been accused of sexually assaulting two women at a Trump hotel penthouse in New York City.

The claims were separately filed by anonymous Jane Doe's this week in New York Supreme Court, alleging he 'trapped' them at nightclub Limelight before moving them to the Trump hotel.

The women claim the incidents took placed in the 1990s, but it's unclear if they occurred on the same day. The hotel in question is believed to be Trump International, which opened in 1997.

In the first lawsuit, the woman said she was assaulted by the rap mogul several times, including in California, with one specific allegation claiming she was coerced into group sex after attending an event at Limelight.

The lawsuit says Combs organized the event at the club, a now-closed site at the former Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion on Manhattan's Sixth Avenue, 'with the top two floors dedicated to exclusive sex parties involving group sexual activities directed by and involving Combs.'

As announced by spokesman Manuel Adorni, the decision is based on the government's deep differences with the health management of the coronavirus pandemic.

"Together with the government of Alberto Fernández they led us to the longest confinement in the history of humanity and to the lack of independence in the face of the political influence of some states," the official said at a press conference.

And he added: "We Argentines are not going to allow an international organization to intervene in our sovereignty, much less in our health."

Adorni stressed that Argentina currently does not receive funding from the WHO for health management. Therefore, this measure does not represent a loss of funds or affect the quality of health services.
