💥 Army recruiting shatters records after President Trump election win

The US Army recently announced it shattered previous recruiting records, with December 2024 being the most productive December in 15 years.

The branch reported it enlisted nearly 350 soldiers every day that month, Army officials announced Tuesday on social media.

“Our Recruiters have one of the toughest jobs – inspiring the next generation of Soldiers to serve. Congratulations and keep up the great work! BAYCB,” Army recruiting officials wrote in a post on X.

WSJ: Saudi Arabia and Turkey on Wednesday dismissed a proposal by President Trump for the U.S. to take control of Gaza and for Palestinians to permanently leave the strip, an idea likely to be also rejected by other Middle Eastern nations.

The kingdom said its commitment to a Palestinian state in Gaza and the West Bank was “firm and unwavering,” and that Riyadh wouldn’t establish diplomatic relations with Israel without that goal. “Achieving lasting and just peace is impossible without the Palestinian people obtaining their legitimate rights,” Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said.

Governor Gavin Newsom is heading to the White House on Wednesday to ask President Donald Trump for federal money to address California’s wildfires, after state legislators passed $50 million to fund anti-Trump measures.

Newsom himself agreed to the $50 million deal in mid-January, with fires still burning in the Los Angeles area, after complaining that Trump wanted to “politicize” the fires by talking about the state’s failed water policies and forestry.

The spending came out of a special legislative session called by Newsom himself. The State Assembly passed the anti-Trump funding right away, and while the State Senate balked at first, it als passed the funding earlier this week.

Newsom has yet to sign the bills into law. At a town hall meeting last month, Trump pledged to appoint a “special master” to oversee federal spending on the wildfires to ensure state and local officials did not waste the money.
