Castaic, California: Reported transient started the Castaic brush fire today.

Lake Hughes Rd & The Old Road. 1/2 acre burned. The LACoFD had forward progression stopped at 2:12pm.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: Sheriff Deputies have conducted 36 arrests within the Eaton Fire Zone for various charges, including theft, firearms, curfew and narcotics violations.

Deputies are diligently working through the night to keep disaster workers and residences of the evacuees secure until they can return home.

LASD is enforcing a curfew in evacuation order zones and there is absolutely zero tolerance for looters.
