1. Rolling blackouts
2. Possible grid down
3. HUGE power bills (Remember TX? They were getting 3-4x normal bills--thousands of dollars! π³)
4. Grid Strain--area affected is HUGE. How long to recover? What if there's permanent damage?
Short version: People MUST have a back-up, non-electric source of heat. Wood stoves, flowerpot heaters, insulation--whatever. Every bit will help keep the power bill down and might save lives. No joke. π₯
