🚨#BREAKING: A 40-year-old man has been arrested after planting IED on parked railroad car

Payette police officers responded to on Wednesday after reports of a suspicious individual attempting to set something on fire near a parked railroad car. Officers discovered fresh footprints in the snow and followed them to a train car, where they found a suspected undetonated improvised explosive device IED. The trail led to a camp trailer parked near a residence. The suspect, later identified as 40-year-old Brent Sharrai, fled on foot but was apprehended after a brief pursuit. A search warrant was executed at the camp trailer, where officers found items similar to the device discovered on the train car, along with controlled substances and paraphernalia.

One person is dead and 18 others injured after a small plane crashed into a warehouse near Fullerton Airport today. Security camera footage captured the crash and fireball that followed.

UPDATE: A fire erupted in the New Orleans French Quarter, specifically along Chartres Street. The New Orleans Fire Department (NOFD) is responding to the fire, which has grown in size, with fire crews struggling to extinguish it, however it is “under control.”

Locals have reported a smell of "fireworks" at the scene, which has raised concerns about the cause of the fire, though no official determination has been made yet.

This fire comes at a time when the community is already on edge due to the recent attack that killed at least 15 people and injured many others, leading to speculation about whether this fire might be related to ongoing security issues or simply coincidental.

A spokesperson for the New Orleans Fire Department said this wasn't the first time crews responded to a fire at the two-story, multi-unit apartment building with the most recent instance being last week.

No injuries have been reported from this fire, but the cause remains under investigation. A helicopter has been observed hovering around the area, indicating the severity and urgency of the response.

Driver in custody after bomb threat on I-85 in Greenville County

• A bomb threat caused a stretch of Interstate 85 to shutdown in Greenville County and traffic to backup for miles in both directions. Specifically at Exit 44 to Whitehorse Road on I-85.

• Law enforcement said the driver is in custody and the situation is deemed safe. Authorities did not say whether or not a bomb was found in the truck or had something to do with the suspect's identity.

• Odd detail:
