🇸🇾🇷🇺⚡️ Assad's Ambassador to Russia, Bashar al-Jaafari, says that there never was a regime in Syria but rather a mafia run by Assad:

"There was no system at any stage. If there was a system, it would defend itself, at least. What existed was a system of corruption, a mafia system."

With Andrew Cuomo mulling a political comeback, one potential Democratic rival is now asking the feds to weigh in on a controversial edict the ex-governor imposed in nursing homes at the height of the pandemic.

City Comptroller, and mayoral candidate, Brad Lander is requesting US health officials determine whether Cuomo’s infamous March 25, 2020, order requiring nursing homes to accept COVID-19 positive patients discharged from hospitals violated federal policy and guidance — which some analysts claim contributed to thousands of elderly deaths.

“Governor Cuomo has consistently stated that the March 25, 2020 directive followed federal CMS and CDC guidance,” the comptroller wrote in a Dec. 17 letter to heads of the CDC and CMS.

Lander questioned “whether this directive was in alignment with federal guidelines issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) during that period.”

Alec Baldwin manslaughter case dropped by New Mexico prosecutor

A New Mexico criminal case against actor Alec Baldwin stemming from the fatal shooting on the set of his movie “Rust” in 2021 ended on Monday, with a prosecutor dropping her appeal of the case’s dismissal.

Special Prosecutor Kari Morrissey withdrew that appeal, according to a statement from the Frist Judicial District Attorney’s office.

Baldwin’s lawyers Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro said in a statement that “today’s decision to dismiss the appeal is the final vindication of what Alec Baldwin and his attorneys have said from the beginning — this was an unspeakable tragedy but Alec Baldwin committed no crime.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs’ ex-employee gave rare insight into the rapper’s sex parties in a new lawsuit against his former boss.

Phillip Pines sued the embattled music mogul for sexual battery, sexual harassment, sex trafficking and more, TMZ reported Monday.

The man described getting hotel rooms ready for Combs’ alleged days-long orgies with multiple women, which he referred to as “Wild King Nights,” according to the lawsuit.

Pines claimed in court docs that he set up the spaces with red lights, ice buckets, alcohol, marijuana, honey packs for male libido, baby oil, lubrication, towels, illegal drugs and sex machines.

He detailed in court docs allegedly getting rid of evidence, from drugs to condoms and sex toys.

Pine also claimed in the lawsuit that he cleaned up blood, bodily fluids and urine — before leaving a large tip for hotel employees in the hopes any damage wouldn’t be reported.

Biden’s Christmas pardon fury: 37 death row inmates SPARED in controversial clemency blitz

The US president commuted the sentences of 37 federal death row inmates to life without parole, igniting outrage from victims' families and Republican lawmakers.

Excluded from the clemency sweep were only three inmates convicted of terrorism or hate crimes.

Critics slammed the move as a betrayal of justice, pointing to cases like Thomas Sanders, who brutally murdered a mother and her child.
