Ancient amulet unearthed: Oldest Christian relic north of the Alps stuns archaeologists
Archaeologists, using advanced scans, have decoded a 1,800-year-old silver amulet – now the oldest known evidence of Christianity in Europe north of the Alps.
Unearthed in 2018 from the grave of a presumed devout believer near Frankfurt, Germany, the amulet bears an inscription declaring Jesus Christ as the "Son of God."
Experts say the discovery rewinds the clock on Christianity’s foothold in the region by 50-100 years, shedding new light on how the faith spread to lands still dominated by Paganism and Judaism at the time.

German CDU leader says 400K Syrians ‘must go back’ - Blames refugees for welfare crisis
The Christian Democrat Union candidate Friedrich Merz claims some 400,000 Syrian asylum seekers in Germany “have no place in Germany,” insisting they should be returned to their homeland.
Merz cited the enormous strain the jobless contingent of Syrian refugees has placed on the German state, insisting those who don’t contribute to society “must go back.”
Of the total welfare benefits claimants in Germany, 2.54 million (63%) ‘have a migration background’ according to the Federal Employment Agency.

‘Israel runs US foreign policy’ — Professor Jeffrey Sachs to Tucker Carlson
“What really brought down Assad last week was Obama,” Sachs told Tucker Carlson, referring to a reported order for the CIA to topple the Assad government back in 2011 as part of the plan to wage and win seven wars in the wider region.
Hanging the blame on Obama would be a fruitless exercise, though, he claimed. “It doesn’t really matter who is US President; this is long-term deep-state policy… Israel runs our foreign policy.”

Two men, including a dual Iranian American citizen, have been charged with conspiring to export sensitive technology to Iran that was used in a drone attack in Jordan that killed three American troops early this year and injured dozens of other service members, the Justice Department said Monday.
The pair were arrested after FBI specialists who analyzed the drone traced its navigation system to an Iranian company operated by one of the defendants, who relied on parts and technology funneled into the country by his alleged co-conspirator, prosecutors said.
“We often cite hypothetical risk when we talk about the dangers of American technology getting into dangerous hands,” U.S. Attorney Joshua Levy, the top federal prosecutor in Massachusetts, said at a news conference announcing the charges. “Unfortunately, in this situation, we are not speculating.”
The defendants were identified as Mahdi Mohammad Sadeghi, who prosecutors say works at a Massachusetts-based semiconductor company, and Mohammad Abedininajafabadi, who was arrested Monday in Italy as the Justice Department seeks his extradition to Massachusetts.

Trump promises to rebuild America's depleted military.
In Trump's own words: "When I'm back in the White House, on Day One, we are returning to a foreign policy that puts America's interests first. America's chief interest in Eastern Europe is peace and stability. We want people to stop dying. This war should never have happened, but it is long past time to end the senseless death and destruction. The numbers are much worse than you're reading about or hearing about or than they're telling you."
"I will provide record funding for our military just as I did four great years, if you think about what we were able to do, four great years of rebuilding our military, and we rebuilt it bigger and better and stronger than ever before. And now look at what's happened. And we have no ammunition as told stupidly by our president to the world so that everybody could know it. But I will also insist that we get more for every dollar spent, because we're spending too much money foolishly and our prices are too high."

The House Administration Oversight Subcommittee and its chairman Barry Loudermilk on Tuesday released an interim report on the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, concluding the attack was preventable and also asking for an investigation into former Rep. Liz Cheney for criminally tampering with a witness during the Democrat-led congressional inquiry of the tragedy.
“Based on the evidence obtained by this Subcommittee, numerous federal laws were likely broken by Liz Cheney, the former Vice Chair of the January 6 Select Committee, and these violations should be investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation,” the report released by the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee and its chairman Barry Loudermilk stated.
"Evidence uncovered by the Subcommittee revealed that former Congresswoman Liz Cheney tampered with at least one witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, by secretly communicating with Hutchinson without Hutchinson’s attorney’s knowledge.," it added. “This secret communication with a witness is improper and likely violates 18 U.S.C. 1512. Such action is outside the due functioning of the legislative process and therefore not protected by the Speech and Debate clause."
Federal law criminalizes witness tampering of varying degrees, and subjects a defendant to as many as 20 years in prison.

The first honest thing to come out of the Harris Campaign: A former top aide to Vice President Harris’s presidential campaign says her team found little to gain from granting interviews to mainstream media organizations.
“There’s just no value — with respect to my colleagues in the mainstream press — in a general election, to speaking to the New York Times or speaking to the Washington Post, because those are already with us,” deputy campaign manager Rob Flaherty said during an extensive interview with the news outlet Semafor.
“When Trump did the McDonald’s thing, it was smart, because it was a thing that obviously drove television coverage, but it also drove social media engagement too,” he added.
Flaherty cited Harris high-profile sit down with Fox News anchor Bret Baier in October as “one of the most important moments of the campaign,” both from a fundraising and social engagement perspective. She also sat for an intense interview with CBS’s “60 Minutes” earlier this year.
