VICTORIA, Texas (AP) — A twin-engine propeller plane crashed onto a Texas highway and split in two Wednesday afternoon, damaging cars and sending four people to hospitals, authorities said.

TLDR; Another option for these New Jersey drones is that they are simply VTOL (vertical take off and landing) craft being tested by a company that recently obtained a contract with the Air Force - the "Pivotal Aero" eVTOL manned copters.
Which would make these drone sightings kind of a nothing burger.
