FOREST, Virginia

Crews responded to reports of an explosion at Forest Level Baptist Church on Bateman Bridge Rd around 11 p.m. Monday.

Crews found smoke and fire in the basement as well as a large hole in the first floor, according to Bedford FD.

No one was inside the church at the time, and no injuries have been reported.

The Bedford County Fire Marshall believes an LP gas explosion caused the damage.

2 people have been hosptalised after a terraced house in east London went up in flames in a dramatic explosion on Tuesday afternoon.

Around 60 firefighters and 8 fire engines were called to the blaze on Ley St in Ilford just after 4pm, which caused the house’s first floor and loft conversion to go up in flames.

The fire was under control by 6.23pm.

“Firefighters worked hard to bring this fire under control. Crews will remain on scene throughout the evening.”
