REUTERS: Members of President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team are drawing up a list of military officers to be fired, potentially to include the Joint Chiefs of Staff, two sources said, in what would be an unprecedented shakeup at the Pentagon.

The planning for the firings is at an early stage after Trump’s Nov. 5 election victory and could change as Trump’s administration takes shape, said the sources, who are familiar with the Trump transition and requested anonymity to speak candidly about the plans.
One of the sources questioned the feasibility of a mass firing at the Pentagon.

It was also unclear if Trump himself would endorse the plan, although in the past he has railed extensively against defense leaders who have criticized him.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to request for comment.

The second source said the incoming administration would likely focus on U.S. military officers seen as connected to Mark Milley, Trump’s former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

Matt Gaetz's resignation letter: "I hereby resign as a United States representative."
The Republican National Committee (RNC) filed two new lawsuits in Pennsylvania after several state boards of elections voted to count several undated mail ballots following the state supreme court's ruling on the issue.

The two suits come in light of Democrat incumbent Sen. Bob Casey refusing to concede the tightly run race to his GOP challenger, Sen.-elect Dave McCormick.

"Tonight the RNC is filing two new lawsuits — in Bucks County and the Pennsylvania Supreme Court — to STOP the counting of illegal ballots. We have won this court battle several times already," GOP Chairman Michael Whatley tweeted on X Wednesday evening.

"The RNC is filing a motion in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to ensure that Pennsylvania’s democratic process is not undermined by the inclusion of illegal ballots in the final vote count," Whatley said in a statement released. "Pennsylvanians are ready to move forward with Dave McCormick representing them in the Senate as Bob Casey torches whatever legacy he had with these anti-democratic schemes."

🤣🥴ANOTHER ONE: Lizzo has announced she is leaving 𝕏:

Lizzo is among a number of Hollywood stars, like Jamie Lee Curtis and Don Lemon, leaving X (formerly Twitter) following President-elect Donald Trump's election win.

On Thursday, the Truth Hurts singer, 36, announced that she was fleeing the social media platform that has become increasingly toxic platform since Elon Musk's $44 billion takeover of the company.

The four-time Grammy winner revealed on Instagram that she created an account on Bluesky, another site similar to Twitter/X, which allows users to share posts and photos with their followers.

'I hate the internet. Anyways I joined bluesky cus we’re leaving toxicity in 2024,' she captioned a bathroom mirror selfie that showed her rocking a fluffy white robe.

Later in the day, the rapper (born Melissa Viviane Jefferson) took to her Instagram Story to call the move as 'the great migration.'

🚨Dr. Fauci's senior advisor, Dr. David Morens, is STILL EMPLOYED by NIH despite evidence showing he deleted emails, avoided FOIA, violated policy, and lied to Congress.

I look forward to working with the Trump Admin to get rid of unaccountable federal employees.

Argentine President Javier Milei is evaluating whether to withdraw his country from the Paris climate agreement as part of a broader review of all international policy, according to a senior official in his administration who spoke on the condition of anonymity because no final decision has been made.

The move follows the libertarian president’s decision to recall his delegation from the U.N. climate talks in Baku, Azerbaijan. It could further strain global cooperation on climate change at a time when President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to yank America out of the pact for the second time. When the United States withdrew from the accord during Trump’s first term, no other country followed.

If Milei were to decide to leave the agreement, the withdrawal would not take effect until one year after Argentina notified the international community, according to U.N. rules.

The decision to withdraw the delegation from the Baku climate talks “allows us to reevaluate the situation and reflect on the position [of Argentina],” Milei spokesman Manuel Adorni said in a news conference Thursday.

The Justice Department announced today its findings that conditions of confinement at the Fulton County Jail (the Jail) in Georgia violate the 8th and 14th Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Individuals with Disabilities Education Act.

The
department’s report details its findings from a comprehensive investigation of the Jail, funded and operated by Fulton County and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office. The investigation included the Main Jail in Atlanta and three annex facilities: the Marietta Annex in Atlanta, the North Annex in Alpharetta, and the South Annex in Union City. The Jail currently houses around 2,000 people and in recent years has surpassed 3,000 people.

Following an extensive investigation, the department concludes that Fulton County and the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office routinely violate the rights of people incarcerated at the Jail. Specifically, the department found that the Jail:

🔴Fails to protect people from the substantial risk of serious harm from violence by other incarcerated people, including homicides, stabbings, and sexual abuse.
🔴Houses incarcerated people in unconstitutional living conditions that are unsanitary and dangerous.
🔴Fails to provide adequate medical and mental health services to incarcerated people.
🔴Uses solitary confinement in discriminatory and unconstitutional ways that exposes incarcerated people, including 17-year-old children and those with mental health disabilities, to substantial harm.
🔴Fails to provide special education services to 17-year-old boys and girls who are entitled to those services while they are incarcerated at the Jail.
