Venezuela has recalled its ambassador to Brazil for consultations after rejecting statements it considers "interventionist and rude" by spokespeople authorized by the government of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.
The administration of Nicolás Maduro asserted that Brazil's special adviser on foreign affairs, Celso Amorim, "has dedicated himself to issuing value judgments on processes that only correspond to Venezuelans and their democratic institutions."
