Boeing seeks $15 billion fundraising after workers’ strike
The airline will launch efforts to plug the expensive gap left by the ongoing strike, which has seen union members refuse to work for six weeks after they refused a 35% pay rise offer last week, by selling off stocks and convertible preferred shares.
Boeing had secured a $10 billion loan backed by Bank of America, Citibank, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan Chase last week and threatened earlier this month to fire 10% of the workforce.
Unless the company repays the $11 billion already owed by 2026, its credit rating is at risk of dropping to junk.
