Northern California will see a few more days slightly above seasonable before a dramatic dip toward colder days. Meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn said Thursday's forecast for downtown Sacramento is 78 degrees, a drop from 84 degrees recorded Wednesday. The average for this time of year is 76 degrees. Areas in the Foothills are likely to see temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s, while higher elevations could be in the lower 60s. Thursday is expected to be sunny with a north breeze that will relax through the day.
