35 Chilean schoolchildren injured as their Molotov cocktails accidentally explode
The explosion at the Barros Arana National Boarding School in the capital Santiago was reportedly the result of homemade firebombs accidentally sparking off, leaving at least 35 people injured, with 11 pupils hospitalized in serious condition, according to the Associated Press.
Local media reports said that authorities found equipment to make more Molotov cocktails in the school bathrooms, and suggested that the students were planning to use them to disrupt a leaving event.
