Southern California: There is a dense fog advisory until around 9 a.m., then it will be a warm and dry afternoon with above-average temperatures.
Northern California will see a few more days slightly above seasonable before a dramatic dip toward colder days. Meteorologist Dirk Verdoorn said Thursday's forecast for downtown Sacramento is 78 degrees, a drop from 84 degrees recorded Wednesday. The average for this time of year is 76 degrees. Areas in the Foothills are likely to see temperatures in the low-to-mid 70s, while higher elevations could be in the lower 60s. Thursday is expected to be sunny with a north breeze that will relax through the day.

24 dead as Tropical Storm Trami makes landfall in Philippines
The island of Luzon bore the brunt of Trami - known as Kristine locally - as it brought more hefty landslides and flooding and forced schools to close for a second day.
Rescue workers have managed to evacuate thousands of stranded villagers with 1,500 police officers drafted in to assist efforts, but officials admitted the death toll is likely to rise further.
