Kozhikode: A large portion of a hillside collapsed onto the Panakkad-Vengara road in Malappuram on Monday morning, burying the stretch under mud, rocks and uprooted trees. The collapse occurred at a site where earth had been removed for construction work.

A scary scene in Bimini after a seaplane crashed into a dock while attempting to take off Saturday morning. Ten people were on board, but thanks to quick action from nearby boaters, everyone made it out safely.

🇧🇸 Authorities in the Bahamas said a small seaplane crashed into a dock while trying to take off on Saturday.
The aircraft was carrying eight passengers and two crew members, all U.S. citizens. Police said nearby boaters helped get everyone off the plane before officers arrived, and no injuries were reported.
After the impact, the aircraft sank in about 100 feet of water. Bahamian authorities said all relevant government agencies have been notified and the investigation is ongoing.

CHAMPAIGN, Illinois Emergency crews responded to the scene of a house explosion in Champaign Sun afternoon. It happened near Judith and Centennial Dr around 12 p.m. Randy Smith — the Champaign Fire Department’s Public information Officer — said officials believe that no one was inside at the time of the explosion. No firefighters were hurt. WCIA spoke with witnesses on the scene who said they felt their house shake as the explosion happened.
