COLLEGE PARK, Maryland 11 passengers were evacuated, and one person was sent to the hospital after a Metro train derailment near College Park, Maryland, on the Fourth of July. Officials with the PGFD said emergency crews responded around 11:50 a.m. Saturday to the 4900 block of Calvert Road for a Metro rail incident. First responders were on the scene of a derailment involving a Metro train on the Yellow/Green rail line, according to authorities. 11 people were evacuated from the train, and 3 patients were initially evaluated for heat-related symptoms. Officials later said all passengers had been evaluated.
