🇻🇪 Venezuela earthquakes kill at least 164 with many more feared dead.

At least 164 people were confirmed dead and 1000 more were injured in the two earthquakes that hit Venezuela on June 24, 2026. The first quake was magnitude 7.2 and hit at 1:30 p.m., followed by a magnitude 7.5 quake 40 seconds later.

In the first video, you can see how a mother shielded her child with her own body as a powerful earthquake struck Caracas. The footage shows people running in panic, unsure where to go, while chunks of collapsing buildings rain down around them. Without hesitation, the woman throws herself over the child, protecting them from the falling debris.

According to The New York Times, citing the U.S. Geological Survey's historical records, this was Venezuela's strongest earthquake in 126 years.
