🇬🇧 Over 50 injured after two EMR trains collided south of Bedford, England. A Luton Airport Express struck a stationary, faulty train near Elstow, causing a partial derailment.
The collision caused significant damage, crumpled fronts, derailments and debris scattered across the tracks. Multiple serious injuries reported. No confirmed fatalities in official statements yet. Five air ambulances and dozens of emergency vehicles rushed to the scene.
Eyewitnesses spoke of terror inside the carriages: flying seats, screams, and scenes resembling a major explosion.
This is among the most serious UK rail incidents in recent years.
