ERNIE Image โ Baidu just dropped its own image generator โ๏ธ
๐ The biggest feature? Itโs surprisingly good at rendering readable text inside images. Posters, comics, infographics โ everything comes out clean and legible. Anyone who has struggled to make Stable Diffusion spell words correctly knows why this matters.
๐ Thereโs also a Turbo version that generates images in just 8 steps instead of 50. Runs on a GPU with 24 GB of VRAM. Apache 2.0 license โ use it however you want.
Bonus: built-in prompt enhancement. You write a short prompt, the model expands and improves it automatically.

China never sleeps: Baidu has officially open-sourced ERNIE Image, a new image generation model with 8B parameters delivering results comparable to much larger competitors.

ChatGPT may soon get ads โ OpenAI is reportedly looking for a monetization specialist.
According to rumors, the company has already conducted interviews for the role. So yes, we might eventually see sportsbook ads right in the middle of conversations with the chatbot.
๐ And probably a separate subscription tier just for an ad-free experience.

8K Upscaling โ now online
โก๏ธ Perfect for anyone with old photos from ancient phones or point-and-shoot cameras sitting in the archive โ now you can bring them back to life and actually use them again. Works ะฟััะผะพ in the browser, no messy local setup needed.
โก๏ธ Besides upscaling, it also includes a video editor, AI image generation, and cover creation โ basically a Swiss Army knife for visuals.
@AximoLoot
Just found a solid service called Adventure AI โ it upscales images up to 10x without inventing fake details, carefully enhancing whatโs already there in the original.

Turn your photo into Japanese comics ๐
๐ธ Version: GPT Image 2
Generated on: TrueVideo.ai.
@AximoLoot
Transform this image into a Japanese gag manga style illustration. Use a high-contrast black-and-white color palette with bold linework and screentone (halftone) shading. Characters should have exaggerated facial expressions, cartoonish proportions (big head, small body), and comedic intensity. Include dynamic action lines or radiating background effects. The overall aesthetic should mimic retro manga from the 80s and 90s with humorous and intense emotion.Generated on: TrueVideo.ai.

In Italy, a girl has started treatment for AI addiction ๐ฌ
๐ผ A doctor explained that for vulnerable people, an AI companion can seem better than real peers because it never argues, never gets tired, and always gives the desired response.
Thatโs how a tool gradually turns into a โfriend.โ
Except thereโs no real friend there.
Donโt forget to spend time with real people.

A 20-year-old resident of Venice became so attached to a chatbot that she stopped communicating with her family and friends. The case was taken over by a local addiction service, which usually handles problems related to gaming, social media, smartphones, and shopping.

How to Spot AI-Generated Content in 2026 ๐ผ
AI has become so realistic that the old signs of fake content are almost gone. Now you have to catch it through subtle details:
๐ Broken perspective and strange scene geometry;
๐ Unrealistic lighting and shadows;
๐ Skin and surfaces that look โtoo perfectโ;
๐ Repetitive emotions and poses in crowds;
๐ Synthetic speech without natural pauses;
๐ Context mistakes: weather, clothing, or architecture donโt match the situation.
The main advice from experts: trust your instincts. If something looks too perfect, itโs probably AI-generated.
Ironically, experts now recommend using another AI to detect AI content

If you think AI is already everywhere, this chart might surprise you ๐
๐ด Red โ people using AI agents
๐ก Yellow โ people paying for chatbots
๐ข Green โ people who have ever used free AI tools
Everyone else? Theyโve never used AI at all.
Looks like weโre still in the very early stages of adoption. And even now, the industry is already running into compute shortages for inference.

FigureAI launched a 10-hour experiment where a robot competed against a human in sorting packages.
The livestream was broadcast online, and people on Polymarket were even placing bets on who would win.
๐ผ A lot of people bet on the robot. Even though package sorting is still an extremely difficult task for humanoids โ requiring fast reactions, fine motor skills, and a certain level of reasoning โ many assumed the human would eventually get tired and slow down, while the robot wouldnโt.
And thatโs exactly what happened. But in the end, the human still won by a tiny margin.
๐ผ Over 10 hours, the man sorted 12,924 packages, while the robot managed 12,732. Their average speed differed by only 0.04 seconds.
The funniest part? After the 10-hour shift, the human opened a beer โ while the robot just kept sorting packages like nothing happened.
@AximoLoot
Yes โ 10 straight hours of sorting parcels. The human was legally allowed to take breaks, while the robot worked continuously and fully autonomously.

The founder of Figure reportedly said: โThis is the last time a human wins.โ
