A leading Israeli newspaper, Haaretz, has detailed how unverified and inaccurate accounts of the 7 October Hamas attack and alleged atrocities committed by Palestinian fighters, led to the widespread publication of stories that appear to be false.

Haaretz cross-referenced some of these allegations provided by Israeli officials and soldiers as well as search and rescue volunteers, in a report published on Sunday, and found that they did not add up.

Analysts have asserted that such spreading of misinformation and fabrications which typically focus on particularly inflammatory issues are used to rile up popular sentiment in favour of atrocities against a specific entity and in this case, have paved the way for Israel’s deadly assaults in Gaza.

🇵🇸 Dutch rights groups take government to court over arms to Israel | Middle East Eye –

Human rights groups are challenging the Dutch government in court, arguing it is complicit in alleged Israeli violations of international law in Gaza by supplying F-35 fighter jet parts.

The suit, brought by Oxfam Novib, PAX and The Rights Forum, comes after a Dutch newspaper reported that the government allowed a delivery of the components despite foreign ministry lawyers warning that Israel was committing serious violations of humanitarian law.

The components, made by the #US-based #LockheedMartin, are stored at a warehouse in the #Netherlands and then shipped to #Israel and other countries.
"The government allowed itself to be blackmailed by Israel and the US - at the expense of Palestinian lives," The Rights Forum has said.

US spies have widespread access to Britain’s bases on Cyprus and share information ‘daily’ with their Israeli counterparts, leaked top secret documents show.

The British so-called Sovereign Base Areas (#SBA) on Cyprus, which comprise 3% of the island’s landmass, sit just 200 miles from #Gaza. The bases are said to be the largest British #intelligence facilities outside of the #UK, although they have never been officially acknowledged.

“Cyprus hosts a wide range of UK and US intelligence facilities”, notes a top secret document from #GCHQ, Britain’s largest spy agency. The document adds: “#Cyprus collection facilities are acknowledged by #NSA as important assets”.

The main US spy agency working on the British territory in Cyprus is the National Security Agency (NSA).

Since the beginning of Israel's war on Gaza, over 3,000 Palestinians have been detained in the Occupied West Bank, many without charge.
There are more reports of deteriorating conditions inside Israeli jails.

🇵🇸 Israel expands its mass starvation campaign to include more than 65% of the Gaza Strip | EuroMed HR Monitor

Geneva - Israel has expanded its total ban on humanitarian supplies entering large areas of the Gaza Strip as part of its ongoing genocide, waged since 7 October, Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said on Monday in a statement emphasising Israel’s use of starvation as a weapon against civilians.

The Israeli army had planned to largely cut off the Gaza Strip’s central governorate from the Strip’s southern areas during the past 48 hours by imposing restrictions on movement and limiting the supply of humanitarian aid, such as food and drinkable water.
