🇺🇸 Autistic Barbie? Mattel has introduced the first-ever autistic Barbie doll, which features flexible joints for "hand flapping." The company said the project took them over 18 months to complete.

"The Barbie comes with a fidget spinner, noise-canceling headphones, flat shoes, a flowy skirt for less fabric to skin contact, and a communication tablet to reflect various autistic experiences," reported ABC 7.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is disappointed that the government wasn’t able to legislate everything they wanted to last night, and is determined to stop people from trolling him in his social media comment section.

This is not really related to the big scheme of things, and may seem trivial, however...a friend of mine has been having some issues with her neighbour parking too close to her driveway, almost obstructing it and making it very difficult for her to enter and exit onto a very busy road. This is on the Gold Coast.
After approaching the neighbour and requesting them not to park so close, it kept happening so she wrote a letter of complaint to the council.
Long story short, the council sent their "city officers" to investigate and she was informed that because the neighbours aren't parking more than 25% across her driveway, it is not illegal.
In other words, according to the Gold Coast City Council you can park your vehicle across a quarter of someone's driveway and there's nothing they can do about it.
I did not know about this regulation. I don't know about anyone else, but my driveway is a single lane entry ramp, if someone was blocking it by 25% the only vehicles that could get around that obstruction safely would be a motorcycle, pushbike, rickshaw, or an elderly person's mobility scooter.
I find this to be ridiculous, and just another piece of govt legislation that doesn't make any sense.
