The SPOs are now officially ready for the hard fork, as more than 70% of the blocks are being minted using node version 9.1.0. 💪
Parallel to the huge governance upgrade, the Cardano constitution is also being drafted and discussed by the community. If you’d like to make your voice heard, you can sign up for one of the many constitution workshops being held all over the world in the coming weeks. https://lu.ma/constitution
For the greater Cardano community, Epoch 503 was all about the Rare Evo event in fabulous Las Vegas, with its exciting announcements, speeches, and discussion panels. You can check out the recorded sessions on the Rare Network YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@RareNetworkMedia/streams.

For ATLAS, it was all about basic maintenance of the various nodes and the rollover of the KES keys and our node certificates. Now we're set up for another 90 days with our fresh files and are steadily minting new blocks.
On cexplorer.io, you can track the operator certificate counter (OPC) in the last column of the block info table. This number needs to be increased by the SPO at least once every 90 days in order to keep minting valid blocks.
We have a date for the Chang hard fork! 🤓
After today's meeting of the hard fork working group, it was decided to target September 1st as the date to initiate the chain upgrade. You can read all about the process in the Chang hard fork bulletin #9. https://x.com/intersectmbo/status/1827032478751846878
Everything is still go-for-launch! Today, the hard fork committee reconfirmed September 1st as the launch date for the initiation of the Chang hard fork and the beginning of the Governance era for Cardano.

At ATLAS, we've been prepared for this major milestone for a few epochs now, and we're hugely excited to be a part of this great transition.

On the Scooper front, everything is going according to plan as well, and the SundaeSwap DEX is expected to handle the transition effortlessly. 🤓

The Voltaire era is here! 🥳 "One small step for Cardano, one giant leap for the industry," as Charles calls it. 👨‍🚀

This has been a massive success and will enable our ecosystem to evolve and adapt fully in a decentralized manner for decades, perhaps centuries.
We are very proud to take part in this amazing journey and excited to see what the future holds in store for us.

Important for all ADA holders—there’s no immediate action required for you to continue earning your staking rewards. However, in this new era, you will need to make a choice about your voting rights before you can claim your earned rewards. Important: The rewards are still added to your wallet and compound, even if you have not made a choice yet. Once you want to claim your rewards, or if you want to participate in governance actions with your voting power, you have to choose between voting yourself (Own Account), letting someone vote on your behalf (Specify DRep ID), Abstain, or No Confidence.

If an ADA holder delegates to Abstain, their stake is actively marked as not participating in governance. The effect of delegating to Abstain on-chain is that the delegated stake will not be considered part of the active voting stake. However, the stake will still be registered for the purpose of incentives.

If an ADA holder delegates to No Confidence, their stake is counted as a no vote on every governance action except for a "Motion of No Confidence." This also signals that they have no confidence in the existing constitutional committee. The effect of delegating to No Confidence on-chain is that this stake will be considered part of the active voting stake. It will count as a yes vote on every No Confidence action and a no vote on every other action. It also serves as a directly auditable measure of ADA holders' confidence in the constitutional committee.

As an SPO, the long-term success of the Cardano blockchain is of utmost importance, and we will definitely continue to advocate and vote for the best possible path forward. This means if you appreciate the attitude and actions of the ATLAS pool over the past 4 years, you are more than welcome to choose us not only for generating your rewards but also to represent you in governance votes.

A full guide on how you can delegate your voting rights to ATLAS will be posted here in the next few days.

Together, let's shape the future of Cardano and unlock its full potential! 💪🤓
The start of the new era went very well, but it was also accompanied by some extra maintenance for SPOs. To avoid another complete replay of the ledger when restarting a node, a hotfix was introduced and recommended for immediate installation to prevent missing out on potential minting slots. The fix was quickly implemented on all ATLAS nodes, and we’re happily minting away. 🤓

As mentioned in the last update, you can now delegate your voting power to ATLAS as your delegated representative (DRep).

In the new governance era, every participant in the staking process must make a choice between the available options (Own Account, DRep, Abstain, or No Confidence) in order to withdraw their staking rewards. Therefore, it’s advisable to delegate your voting power eventually. If you currently don’t have the time or ability to delegate your voting power, nothing is lost—you will still earn staking rewards as usual. However, when you wish to withdraw your rewards, you’ll need to choose one of the four options.

For those of you choosing to go with a DRep and are satisfied with how ATLAS is run, I would greatly appreciate your delegated voting power. You can read about my motivation on the official gov.tools site here: https://gov.tools/drep_directory/drep1cx4vnd4zwg8r6j3c5lwvvtvv7y9rlyhlsxtrlq8e50he7a3g67q

A voting power delegation to ATLAS_Wolfgang is not tied to staking with the ATLAS pools—you can do either separately. Of course, it is always welcome if you spread the word in your circles or on social media and bring more delegators to the ATLAS community—whether for the stake pool or as a DRep. The more, the merrier! 🙏☺️
The process of delegating your voting power is very easy:
1.) Go to the Governance tab in your wallet.
2.) Make your choice of representation.
3.) Paste the DRep ID (drep1cx4vnd4zwg8r6j3c5lwvvtvv7y9rlyhlsxtrlq8e50he7a3g67q) and click on "Delegate."
4.) Sign the transaction, and you’re done!
